God, the Father is not much-known face and Person of the Most Holy Trinity.

He is the Godhead of the Divine Family of the Most Holy Trinity.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life."
Love doesn’t see the cost. It just gives even one’s own self. It cannot hold anything back. God so loved the world! Let’s personalise this reality.
What’s your name?
Let’s put it this way: – God, the Father, so loved George, that He gave His only Son. It looks very simple, but the implications are very strong and powerful.

Let’s take the example of Abraham sacrificing his son, Isaac.
Genesis 22:

The Command to Sacrifice Isaac
After these things God tested Abraham. He said to him, “Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” 2 He said, “Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains that I shall show you.” .... 4 On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place far away. 5 Then Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; the boy and I will go over there; we will worship, and then we will come back to you.” 6 Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on his son Isaac, and he himself carried the fire and the knife. So the two of them walked on together. 7 Isaac said to his father Abraham, “Father!” And he said, “Here I am, my son.” He said, “The fire and the wood are here, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?” 8 Abraham said, “God himself will provide the lamb for a burnt offering, my son.” So the two of them walked on together. 9 When they came to the place that God had shown him, Abraham built an altar there and laid the wood in order. He bound his son Isaac, and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. 10 Then Abraham reached out his hand and took the knife to kill his son. 11 But the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven, and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” 12 He said, “Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.” 13 And Abraham looked up and saw a ram, caught in a thicket by its horns. Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son. 14 So Abraham called that place “The Lord will provide”; as it is said to this day, “On the mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”

To give is to offer, to sacrifice. God gave His only Son as a ransom to REDEEM us. God, the Father, giving His only Son is greater than giving His own Self. The reason is that giving oneself is easier than giving the one whom one loves the most, who is the cause and reason for one’s life! We have to take the entire life of Jesus as one and not separate to comprehend the Mysteries hidden.
The Lamb of God is going to take birth at Bethlehem, the city of Bread (Bethlehem, Arabic Bayt Laḥm (“House of Meat”), Hebrew Bet Leḥem (“House of Bread”). And the Shepherds are gifted with the LAMB who is going to be sacrificed as the Ram was sacrificed in the place of Isaac.
Look at the Birth of Jesus, the Son of God, through this unconditional and self-giving love of the Father!
Points for Reflection:
1. God has made you His beloved child. Do you consider God YOUR Father and yourself a dear child of Him?
2. Or still go to Him like a beggar to beg for the worldly things unworthy of Him?
3. How powerful is YOUR Father?
4. Have you ever known the love the Father has for you?
5. What's your value? The Father is waiting for you to go to BETHLEHEM. Are you ready?
